Approved, the law of the Renaissance deputy Frédéric Descrozaille, which aims to “assure the supply of the French in consumer products”, deeply divides producers and distributors.
For Christiane Lambert, president of the FNSEA, “this is an important step forward,” she said on Good Evening Business on BFM Business on Tuesday.
However, the manager is surprised by the reservations expressed by Bercy, which, according to her, would be added to the fears of mechanical price increases issued by the distributors.
And to drive home the point: “There are a certain number of people in Bercy who trust the distributors to bring prices down. On Monday, they say: ‘yes, farmers, we will support you. On Tuesday, ‘let’s keep the factories’ in France’ and on Wednesdays they are tempted to say: ‘low prices, low prices’ even if that means offering a basket at a bargain price that we do not endorse”.
