The Bank of Portugal (BdP) warned on Tuesday that Prime Press Unipessoal, Lda and Daniel Filipe Gonçalves Martins are not authorized to carry out any financial activity in Portugal that is reserved for institutions supervised by the BdP.
In a statement released today, the BdP explains that these two companies trading alone or under the commercial names “Agência Prime”, “Agência Prime Unipessoal, Lda.”, “Smile Crédito” and “Smile Crédito Personal” are not authorized to any financial activity, namely providing, brokering and advising on credit agreements.
The activities of lending and intermediation and credit advice are reserved for entities authorized to carry them out, in accordance with the legal provisions, according to the BdP.
In the statement, the BdP recalls that the lists of entities authorized to grant credit and act as credit intermediaries and advisers on credit agreements can be consulted on the Banco de Portugal website and on the bank’s customer portal.
