After speaking by phone on Friday, Armed Forces Minister Sébastien Lecornu and his Italian counterpart Guido Crosetto agreed to deliver the SAMP/T – MAMBA air defense system to Ukraine from spring 2023.
“This is the first long-range European anti-missile system, of Franco-Italian design. It will allow Ukraine to defend itself against attacks by Russian drones, missiles and aircraft, covering a significant part of the Ukrainian territory,” reads a press release. of the Ministry of the Armed Forces.
