The government announced this Thursday the postponement of the approval of part of the diplomas on housing, extending the public consultation period, at the request of the National Association of Portuguese Municipalities.
In a statement, The Ministry of Housing announces that it has decided to extend the public consultation of three legislative proposals for the Mais Habitação Program (PL 64/XXIII/2023; PL 73/XXIII/2023; PL 74/XXIII/2023) until March 24, following a request from the National Association of Portuguese Municipalities”.
These degrees include local accommodation and golden visas.
This part of the legislation will not be approved until the Council of Ministers on 30 Marchthen proceed to the Assembly of the Republic.
The remaining diplomas – referring to support for housing loans and rents (DL 75/XXIII/2023; DL 111/XXIII/2023) – will end the public consultation on Monday, March 13, as already foreseen (after a three-day extension), and will be approved by the Council of Ministers on 16 March.
“In this way, the government ensures that support for families gets off the ground quickly”, the Ministry of Housing, Spatial Planning and the Environment justifies in the memorandum.
