They may have left castle life behind, Harry and Meghan are always willing to play the portrait game. Two new photos of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were released Monday night.
In the first, the couple now based in the United States is released from the protocol observed by the British royal family. Ignoring the rule that the heir always appears in front of his spouse, Meghan appears in the foreground while Harry, slightly in the background, smiles at the camera, holding her hand. In the second photo, this one in black and white, Harry and Meghan appear in profile.
As specified by daily mail, these two photos were taken during the annual summit of One Young World, a meeting place for the young leaders of tomorrow, which was held in Manchester in early September. They are signed by Misan Harriman, a photographer who has immortalized many celebrities, from Angelina Jolie to George Clooney through Idris Elba. A close friend of Meghan and Harry, he has already signed many photos of them, including the first shot of Princess Lilibet.
Brief return to the UK
Harry and Meghan stepped down from their prominent role in the British royal family in 2020. After their big departure, they settled their accounts with the monarchy in an interview with American Oprah Winfrey, further straining their relationship with the Crown. They briefly returned to the UK last month following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
These two new portraits of Meghan and Harry were unveiled the day after the first official photo of King Charles III with the Queen Consort, William and Kate. They all appeared there dressed in black.
