BET Hip Hop Awards: Frenchman Benjamin Epps wins the award for “best international stream”

Opposed in his category to the British Central Cee or the French rapper Le Juiice, he thus becomes the first French artist to be distinguished with this award.

In just two years, Benjamin Epps has established himself on the French rap scene. But now it is internationally that the 26-year-old rapper intends to promote his music.

Nominated for the BET Hip Hop Awards 2022 -American ceremony that rewards the most popular rappers-, the young artist won the award for “best international flow”, ahead of the French Le Juiice, Central Cee, Knucks, Blxckie, Black Sheriff , Nadia Nakai, Tasha & Tracie and Haviah Mighty.

As of 2020, Benjamin Epps has released three EPs: The future, ghost with driver in 2021 and You are not happy? Triple! in 2022. He also featured himself a collaboration with DJ Vladimir Cauchemar on the track Snow storm.

First French rapper awarded

If MHD, Jokair and Aya Nakamura had already been nominated for the BET Awards before him, Benjamin Epps is the first French rapper in rap history to receive this prestigious award.

A historical distinction that allows the young rapper to propose more than ever his own universe in which, in particular, he updates the boom-bap, popular current of rap in France in the years 90-2000.

In addition to Benjamin Epps, Drake and Kendrick Lamar were the big winners at the 2022 BET Awards with six trophies each.
