Chicago Mediterranean is back for season 8 with a fiery cliffhanger to solve and while Will Halstead survived hell with the help of Chicago fire rescuers, his building was not so lucky. He had to demolish the building he bought with his VasCom money because of the damage caused by the fire and how much it would cost to rebuild, but does that mean his finances are on track? Well, according to actor Nick Gehlfuss, fans shouldn’t count on anything happening to his character.
Nick Gehlfuss and his co-star Jessy Schram have spoken to the press Chicago Mediterraneaneighth season, including the weight itself Hannah and Will can really erase the board . After Will lost everything in the apartment fire, I asked the star how the loss would affect his character moving forward. Gehlfuss shared:
Well, one thing you can count on is that Will will always have financial problems. The showrunners even told me this outright. We want to keep Will in poor financial condition, and I think he’s wonderful. But I think we’ll see him get behind him somehow. More importantly, he will focus on the problems that arise within Gaffney. There will be a lot of shortage of medical supplies, supply chain demand and he will be one of the main people affected by that. There are quite a few scams he runs into all of this to make up for this shortcoming.
Well, Will’s VasCom godsend would never last long if Nick Gehlfuss promised showrunners that his character would always be in trouble with money. It was an issue he had struggled with in previous seasons (particularly when the cost of his malpractice insurance skyrocketed), and this time around he didn’t keep VasCom’s money long enough. At least the actor seems resigned to the fact that this is a constant problem for Will!
The biggest problem for the hospital will be with resources rather than Will’s personal finances. showrunner Also previewing Diane Frolov and Andrew Schneider how the shortage of supplies would cause problems, with Frolov predicting doctors would “twist things up,” which fans saw a little bit in episode 2 (streaming available with a peacock subscription ) with Crockett’s conflict with the new surgical resident. Schneider shared that there will be discussions of “rare objects” and many “dramatic situations” and it appears that Will will find himself in the middle of some of those situations.
The doctors managed to avoid any crisis due to the deficiency in the first two episodes, even if very close. Whether this is still the case remains to be seen; Emergency services move at a fast pace and are never predictable, and the tension can be high in the hospital, even when there is no shortage of diagnostic and life-saving supplies. Sure, if someone comes in Chicago Mediterranean can be creative in problem solving, that person is Will Halstead … for better or for worse.
Of course, Will may have some personal problems along the way due to Chicago police said Goodbye Jesse Lee Soffer , who plays Will’s brother Jay Halstead. Whatever the circumstances of Jay’s departure, Will may not have his brother around and that could affect him in the future. Medicinal. The three One Chicago shows don’t intersect as they once did, and the Halstead brothers haven’t shared much screen time lately, but only time will tell.
The only thing fans can be sure of is that the weather will not permanently improve Will’s financial situation, as Nick Gehlfuss said!
