Who wants to star in Orelsan’s next film? Almost 10 years after the release of his first film, How far is it, with his acolytes Gringe, Skread and Ablaye, the rapper from Caen is currently shooting his second feature film. And looking for extras.
As specified in the announcement published on the site extras.com, the castings are open to characters with very varied, but quite specific profiles: “women and men from 18 to 60 years old, owners of a car (non-white),” women and men from 18 to 50 years old, in very good physical condition, the practice of a combat sport such as boxing, martial arts… or knowledge of acrobatics is valued, to be able to play militiamen”, “women and men from 18 65 years old, of Japanese origin and speak Japanese without an accent”…
Part of the film shot in Japan.
In 2023, Orelsan left the Wagram Music record label to join Sony Music, a label with which the artist has committed to producing two new albums as well as a film.
If very little information about this feature film has been revealed since then, the site extras.com lifts a corner of the veil on the plot of this project. According to them, it is a film “between fiction and reality”, which will portray Orelsan’s fears “linked to fatherhood represented by Japanese culture.”
Part of the film has already been shot in Japan. At the end of April, several Internet users had seen Orelsan with his team filming this feature film on the streets of Osaka.
