What’s next for “The 3-Body Problem”? The creators give new information.

Rarely has Netflix communicated in such a nebulous way. “We knew how many hours (of episodes) we needed to tell the rest of the story, because we have a roadmap that has to take us to the end,” Dan Weiss said. “And we have what we need to get there, just like we planned when we started.”

“We will have enough time”

It took four years for the presentation of the first season, after the acquisition of the rights to the three original novels by Chinese Liu Cixin. “When we finish the series, we will have dedicated seven years to it,” says David Benioff:

“We’ll be able to tell the rest of the story and yes, we’ll have enough time to tell it the way we want. It’s extremely rewarding.”

Last April, the trio confided in Collider that they would need “at least three seasons, maybe four, to tell the full story.”

Ambitious project

The 3 body problem presented its first eight episodes last March.
