Sydney Sweeney stole the show when she walked the red carpet of the Venice Film Festival this year. The Euphoria the star made it to the world premiere of bones and all, with dear Indy Timotheé Chalamet. The actress wore a long black Giorgio Armani dress, adorned with a high-necked black bow. The classic fashion piece was no exception, as Sweeney also sported a pair of platform high heels. But her shoes did some damage, as evidenced by the actress showing her “battle scars”.
I have heard of suffering for one’s art, but suffering in the name of fashion is something else. However, Sydney Sweeney sported a look that fans will surely remember. Check out her eye-catching heels (which were six inches tall, according to Shoe News) in the image below:
While it’s hard to deny that the heels were trendy and cool, Sydney Sweeney definitely paid the price. The Emmy-nominated star shared a photo of her feet in her Instagram Stories, clearly the result of her bold choice of red carpet shoes. Sweeney’s feet are covered in bandages, both to prevent blisters from developing and to cover any that have already formed. Check out her “battle wounds” below:
She must have heard it on the red carpet, but at least she wasn’t alone. The star was accompanied by her friend and co-star Maude Apatow, who also wore a black Armani dress. In the photos Apatow shared on her Instagram, they both looked gorgeous in their matching outfits.
Shoe issues aside, Sydney Sweeney has had an absolutely fantastic year and an appearance at the Venice Film Festival is just the icing on the cake. This year, Sweeney appeared in not one, but two critically acclaimed series for HBO, the white lotus and the second season of the aforementioned teen drama. Sweeney’s work was so revered that she earned 2022 Emmy Award nominations for her work on both shows. The Euphoria star also had a role in Sony lady of the web, which is directed by Dakota Johnson.
Platform high heels aren’t the only fashion choice the rising star made that grabbed attention as she became a trendsetter. Recently, the Gen Z guy helped bring back the side part and had some really iconic tricks. Euphoria.
The bones and all The former seemed like the time to bring out all the bold fashion choices. Timotheé Chalamet showed up at the premiere in a bright red halter neck jumpsuit by designer Haider Ackermann. He seemed appropriate given the unique film he was promoting alongside co-star Taylor Russell and director Luca Guadagnino.
As for Sydney Sweeney, we won’t have to wait long to see her most iconic looks. I’m sure the actress will be at the Emmys this month and she’ll be wearing something stunning. Let’s hope her shoes are a little more comfortable this time.
You can see Sydney Sweeney’s work airing in the first two seasons of Euphoria and the first season of the white lotus using an HBO Max subscription.
