Rock star Rod Stewart will perform at the Glastonbury music festival in southwestern England in June, organizers announced on Tuesday, and will soon reveal their program.

“After all these years, I’m proud, ready and more than capable of getting back on stage to please and mock my friends at Glastonbury,” the British star wrote on social media.
It will follow in the footsteps of other music legends who have also performed in this niche, such as Dolly Parton, Kylie Minogue, Lionel Richie and Shania Twain during the last edition.
Headlining in 2002
This news comes a few days after the star announced his intention to suspend “major world tours” at the end of 2025. Rod Stewart, however, clarified that he had no desire to retire.
The hoarse-voiced rocker had already headlined the festival in 2002, alongside Coldplay and Stereophonics. At that time he performed at the closing of the prestigious event.
The festival, which began in 1970, will take place from June 25 to 29 before going on hiatus in 2026 to rest the land of Worthy Farm, where the event takes place.
On sale in mid-November, tickets for the 2025 edition sold out in 35 minutes. Cost of Sesame: £373.50 for entry and £5 for booking fees, or €452.
Last June, around 210,000 people attended the event, where Coldplay, Dua Lipa and SZA performed on the legendary Pyramid Stage.
