Interviewed by the magazine People Regarding a possible sequel to the successful series, the writer and showrunner confided his desire to work on a prequel, which would take place in the 60s.
“About 70,000 people asked me if there would be a restart. The truth is that I have some ideas to do it,” he confided.
“I would like to go back to a previous decade. (…) There are times when I say to myself: ‘You know what? I wonder if I could write Wisteria Lane in 1966,'” added Marc Cherry.
“If you do a reboot, you have to have a very good artistic reason for doing it,” the screenwriter continues.
