Ralph Macchio states that Cobra Kai hasn’t changed his mind about Karate Kid III yet

cobra-kai Seasons 4 and 5 are perhaps two of the best in the entire series, and a lot is due to the way they reintroduced one of the The child of karateTerry Silver’s Most Iconic Villains. The big villain has rekindled his iconic rivalry with Daniel LaRusso, which began in Karate boy Part III, a film that Ralph Macchio has openly criticized for its quality. But has the beauty of the last two seasons surpassed Macchio’s feelings in the final film of his trilogy? Not so much, according to the actor.

I had the honor of talking to Ralph Macchio about his new book, Grow Up: The Karate Kid and me (opens in a new tab) and, during the conference, the actor talked a lot Karate boy Part III Yes cobra-kai. As such, she wanted to know if the recent seasons of the Netflix show had changed her vision of the film in any way. While things haven’t changed much for him, he has learned that he appreciates at least a few other things:

It definitely made me appreciate what Jon is [Hurwitz]Joseph [Heald]and Hayden [Schlossberg] we were able to take advantage of it and add layers and shades to these characters. And it has given me incredible appreciation for the actors who have done such a brilliant job. Thomas [Ian Griffith is] definitely top of the list and Robyn Lively on the way? I thought those scenes worked really well, and it’s just a joy. What about Sean Kanan, with Chozen, Johnny Lawrence and Mike Barnes in the same drunk limo with LaRusso? I mean, it’s a well written fanservice, do you know what I mean?

Ralph Macchio was quick to point out cameos and classics Karate Kid reminders, and it’s hard to argue with their feelings. The Netflix drama excels at using veteran actors from the beloved film franchise and will likely continue to do so. Of course, the only important person that fans haven’t seen on the show yet is The next karate guy Hilary Swank star. Although Swank has not yet received a call to come forward, Macchio spoke to us he hopes the team will make it if possible.

However, aside from his praise for seasons 4 and 5, it doesn’t look like Ralph Macchio will change his mind on Karate boy III at any time. The star went on to explain how she views the film as she explains how she fits into her new book of hers:

If you took the old VHS, plugged it in and watched The Karate Kid III, would you call it a great piece of cinema? No. I still feel the same about the movie, but it generated such greatness and I talk about it in the book. Pay attention to what you think you know, and perhaps a young reader will see it and learn something through my eyes and the shoes I walked in.

Ralph Macchio has inspired no one to give The boy from karate III look again, but who has netflix subscription you may feel more inclined to review Seasons 4 and 5 for what they have achieved. It can also be a good decision for fans who are still waiting cobra-kai official renewal of for the sixth season, in case you want to remind producers how much you appreciate it. That said, you’d think the green light for more episodes is just a formality, considering it’s one of the best shows on Netflix.

We hope that the news of a new season will arrive soon, because I still have many questions later cobra-kai Season 5 about where things are going for a lot of characters. Personally, I can’t wait to see how Johnny fares with a child and how that could complicate his engagement with his students.
