Eighteen Papotin journalists, who suffer from autistic spectrum disorders, will come to the 78th Cannes Festival to interview film personalities, for a program on France 2 in May.
“All journalists in the world travel to the Cannes Film Festival. In an inclusive approach, we thought it was good that this team of atypical journalists offers atypical festival coverage,” said AFP Manuel Alduy, film director of France Télévisions.
The “chati”, as they are voluntarily called, will question several personalities, and not a single as generally for the monthly show Papotine meetings. It is the first time that it has been relocated.

The shooting in Cannes, on the same set as the other programs of France Télé, will be held in several sequences, for a transmission during the week of May 19 on a date not yet fixed.

It is derived from Le Papotin magazine, created 35 years ago and is based on an editorial committee composed of about fifty non -professional journalists with autism spectrum disorders.

For this 78th edition, the public group will also “project the festival in the largest number of programs,” said Manuel Alduy.
