The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Pantheon of Music, has just announced its harvest in 2024. This year, the artists Cyndi Lauper, The White Stripes, Chubby Checker, Outkast, Bad Company, Soundgarden and Joe Cocker will be included in the “Performance” category.
“Each of these induced people created their own sound and their own style that had a deep impact on culture and helped change the Rock & Roll Forever course,” said the president of the Hall of Fame, John Sykes, in a press release.
To be eligible for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, artists must have released their first album 25 years before their appointment. The enthronement ceremony will take place in Los Angeles on November 8 and will be broadcast live in Disney+.
Salt-n-Pepa and Thom Bell also rewarded
This year, the Rock and Roll Fame Hall will also reward Salt-N-Pepa and Warren Zevon artists by giving them the “Musical influence” award, while Thom Bell, Nicky Hopkins and Carol Kaye will receive a prize for “Musical Excellence”.
