While some viewers worry about “superhero fatigue,” the comic book genre continues to be a powerful force in the entertainment industry. Fans got excited when it was revealed that Guardians of the Galaxy would be director James Gunn assume a leadership role in the DCEU as co-CEO with Peter Safran . Apparently Gunn is already teasing a DC hero he wants to bring to life, and I tune in.
After the disappointing launch of Justice LeagueThe theatrical cut of the DC Extended Universe largely moved away from crossovers and instead focused on director-driven films. But that has changed recently, thanks to exciting cameos in Lollipop and Henry Cavill come back as a superman in black adam. James Gunn seems like the perfect director to help add more connectivity and direction to the shared universe, and recently tweeted a photo of DC hero Mister Terrific. DC fans shared their excitement in the comments, because no one really expected a character like Mister Terrific to have time to shine, especially with so many of DC’s most beloved heroes and villains out there yet to debut in the shared universe.
