A well kept secret for almost half a century. Freddie Mercury had a secret daughter, born in 1976, of which she was very close, says a new biography of the queen’s singer, Love, Freddiewritten by Lesley-Ann Jones.
This book that will be published in September reveals that this child was born by mistake in 1976 during an extramarital issue of Freddie Mercury with the wife of one of his best friends.
According to Lesley-Ann Jones, rock specialist, Freddie Mercury frequently visited her daughter. And had transmitted several dozen personal documents that she kept secret at home.
“A very fuse relationship”
This woman whose identity still remains secret: it is called B in Love, Freddie – Now he is 48 years old and works in the medical community in Europe.
As proof, the biography cites a letter written by the daughter of Freddie Mercury, where you can read the following words: “Freddie Mercury was and he is my father.” Its existence was unknown beyond the circle of the singer’s relatives.
“We had a very fusional and very loving relationship from my birth to his death 15 years later,” said the woman of the Daily Mail. “He loved me and was very attentive,” he said despite the “unusual and scandalous” conditions of his birth.
In his diary, whose content is revealed in the book, Freddie Mercury evokes the pregnancy of his former partner. He also tracks his life there, from his birth in Zanzíbar for his escape from the country.
Intimate notebooks, private newspapers
In a letter published in the book, B reveals why he chose to break the silence. “After more than three decades of lies, crazy theories and falsifications, it is time to let Freddie express himself.”
“Those who knew my existence and maintained the secret did it by loyalty to Freddie. It was I who decided to reveal my existence. I was not forced to do so,” he insists on this text.
“I had entrusted me, his only son, all his private newspapers, the notebooks where his intimate thoughts, his memories and what he felt on his trip,” he adds.
Lesley-Ann Jones believe the story of B. They have been working together for three years. “My instinct told me to be cautious, but I don’t think it manufactures. No one could have trafficked.”
