A legendary Renaud concert finally urged. On the occasion of his 50 years of career, the singer first launched this Friday, May 30, capture a cult program, a long and a half, delivered to the cicada on September 29, 2007. A preview took place a few days ago in the Grand Rex, in the presence of the 73 -year -old singer.
“I would like to thank my fans who have supported me for 50 years,” he said in the microphone. “And make sure I will still be there in 50 years.”
If this concert has entered the annals, it is due to its duration but also to its context. At that time, Renaud has just completed the tour Red bloodwith those who filled large rooms in France. He is accustomed to consulting the fans forums and one day, in one of them, sends a message to invite them to a concert to the Cigale to thank them for their loyalty.
“No cap? Yes, I go”
The ticket will cost a symbolic euro, and the income will be donated to an association. Above all, he offers them to elaborate a list of the songs they want to hear. One hundred titles are claimed.
“I say: I can’t,” he recalls for BFMTV. “A concert of 70 songs, possible. No cap? Yes, I went. So I touched at Cigale, on a Saturday afternoon, and sang 70 songs.”
From 5.30 pm at 11 pm that day, Renaud occurs in front of 1,200 people. For this intimate concert, after his tour of the Cenits, he recreated his own living room on stage bringing objects that belong to him: a portrait of Coluche, Figures of Tintin and Milou, a pavement of May 1968, paintings … and will sing his best successes, other less known songs, they offer three times of Georges Brazsens …
Some lost images
But the capture faces a technical problem: due to the duration of the show, the cameras only manage to immortalize that the first two hours: “We do not have the last three”, Confect Bloodi and Pierre, the Renaud assistants. We were forced to reach the end of the concert with images that we draw on YouTube, (tours) with old mobile phones or digital cameras that were at that time. “
At the end of the Grand Rex projection, fans were conquered: “Know that there has been a five -hour concert, for fans who are not Parisians, it was a bit frustrating. The frustration is filled tonight, thanks to the film.”
