Zac Efron has not had cosmetic surgery to enlarge his jaw. This is what he says in an interview with men’s healthmore than a year after the spread of a viral video in which his face appeared abnormally swollen.

He says that since his accident he has been working with a specialist so that the muscles in his face continue to work together, “like a symphony”. But when he retired to Australia, in times of the coronavirus pandemic, he stopped the exercises, undermining the fragile balance of his jaw: “The masseter muscle (responsible for chewing, Editor’s Note) has everything newly fattened,” he explains. “It got very, very big.” A problem that has since been clearly resolved, according to the article in men’s health: “his jaw seems to have always had it”, we can read.

Zac Efron claims to have discovered these cosmetic surgery rumors from his mother, as he stays away from social media: “If I paid attention to what people thought of me as much as they thought I wouldn’t be able to do this job on absolute”. .”
The actor explains that his relationship with his body changed after the military training he underwent for the film baywatch – baywatchreleased in 2017:
“The appearance I had in Baywatch, I’m not sure it’s really achievable. There is simply very little water on the skin. It looks fake, it looks like special effects. I had to take Lasix, a powerful diuretic, to get there… I’d rather have 2-3% excess body fat.”
He describes the unhealthy lifestyle habits that he had to adopt as part of his physical preparation, between four-hour nights, excessive training and a very little varied diet: “I had insomnia, and I fell into a quite serious depression that lasted quite a long time. Something in that experience pushed me over the edge and I had a hard time getting over it.”
