The 49-year-old actor is believed to have died by suicide, though no further details were provided at the time of the news. His rep had only confirmed that he had died in Texas and that his family had asked for privacy. However, the alleged details of the events leading up to Frank’s death have now come to light. And they shed light on the legal and domestic matters the beloved actor had been involved in.

Jason David Frank was with his second wife, Tammie Frank, in Texas shortly before his death, according to tmz extension . The two, who got married in 2003, were in a hotel at the time. Tammie filed for divorce last August, citing various reasons for wanting to separate. She accused her husband of having an affair and claimed their union was discussing other factors. Through court documents, Tammie said she came into conflict over a number of allegations and treated her cruelly. The two have reportedly been separated since July.

Hotel staff let them in after they were unable to contact Jason David. Unfortunately, authorities entered the room and found the star had hanged herself in her bathroom.

In addition to their divorce, the star and his wife were also in the midst of a legal situation involving the father of her late stepdaughter’s child. According to Radar Online, Jason Meekins, who allegedly fathered a child with Tammie Frank’s late daughter, Shayla Bergeron, has filed a lawsuit against them. Meekins, who also says he was married to Bergeron when she died in October 2021, said the Franks “refused to give him back her girlfriend.” [Meekins] after so many requests. With that, the man claimed that his alleged son, Drayden, had been “illegally retrained” by the couple.

Meekins also said he was not authorized to contact Drayden. The case was still active when Jason David Frank passed away and it is not yet clear how things will develop.
