A selection in Cannes (in special session), an award (the most prestigious) at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival and a preselection in the list of the five works chosen to represent France in the Oscars. BowUgo Welcome’s first feature film multiplies honors. It is revealed this Friday in a new and very poetic trailer.
The animated film, written by Ugo Welcome and Félix de Givry, tells the story of Iris, a ten -year -old girl who lives in 2075, who sees a mysterious child dressed in a combination of rainbow, called rainbow, who falls from the sky. It comes from a distant and idyllic future where it is possible to travel on time. Iris picks it up and will help you by all means to go home.
The voices are interpreted by Swann Arlaud, Alma Jodorowsky, Margot Ringard Oldra, Oscar Tresanini, Vincent Macaigne, Louis Garrel, William Lebghil, Oxmo Puccino. Bow On October 22 it will launch on October 22.
The film is among the five French titles preselected on Wednesday (together with The last little one of Hafsia Herzi, New wave By Richard Linklater, A simple accident from Jafar Panahi and Privacy By Rebecca Zlotowski) to wait to compete in the Oscar for the best international film. We should know on September 17 if the feature film will represent, or not, France at the Hollywood ceremony.
