An investigating judge will investigate the sexual violence of which rapper Nekfeu is accused by a former partner, AFP learned on Thursday from a source close to the case, confirming Libération’s information.
Nekfeu was taken into police custody last week as part of investigations into rape, sexual assault and habitual violence against a spouse reported by his ex-partner, before being released.
“The judicial information seems to be the most appropriate framework to examine the words of the two spouses, the numerous documents and complaints presented by Mr. Samaras (the rapper’s real name),” Marie-Alix Canu-Bernard, the artist’s lawyer, told AFP.
This judicial information will also allow “to examine the authenticity (of the documents) presented by Madame, but above all to clean up everything that has been said on her initiative in the press and on the networks for too many months,” added Marie-Alix Canu-Bernard.
The plaintiff’s lawyers, William Bourdon, Rebecca Royer and Hannah Kopp, indicated that the opening of this judicial investigation “constitutes an absolutely coherent consequence in view of the serious charges already made against Mr. Ken Samaras.”
The Paris prosecutor’s office, contacted by AFP, has not yet responded.
For many months there has been a conflict between the rapper and his ex-wife.
The Paris prosecutor’s office closed three successive complaints from his ex-wife for rape, violence or harassment between September 2023 and May 2024.
Last week’s police arrest is part of a new complaint filed by this woman for the same events, according to sources close to the case.
