American actor Eric Dane will highlight his fight against the disease in a medical series. According to the American media The Hollywood Reporter, the star of Grey’s Anatomy will play Matthew, a heroic firefighter who suffers from Charcot disease, in an episode of the series brilliant minds.
Eric Dane knows this rare and incurable pathology well, as he suffers from it himself. In April 2025, the Grey’s Anatomy star revealed that he suffered from this neurodegenerative disease that causes progressive muscle paralysis.
