It’s been four years since we last spent time in the Transformers film franchise via Bumblebee, but next year the break ends. Today, the first trailer of Transformers: Rise of the Beasts dropped, giving us a taste of Maximals’ first feature film, Predacons and Terrorcons. After this preview, more cast members were revealed for the 2023 film releases, including game of Thrones“Peter Dinklage.

In that note, Terme reports that Peter Dinklage will voice Scourge, the leader of the Terrorcons who can transform into a black Peterbilt 359 tractor-trailer. Dinklage joins Liza Kosher as Arcee, John DiMaggio as Stratosphere, David Sobolov as Rhinox, and Battletrap, Michaela Jaé Rodriguez as Nightbird, Cristo Fernández as Wheeljack and Tobe Nwigwe as Reek.
While there are plenty of new names to keep an eye out for, these aren’t the first voice actors to be announced for Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. With Peter Cullen once again voicing Optimus Prime, we know as of June 2021 that Ron Perlman is voicing Optimus Primal, the leader of the Maximals who transforms into a gorilla. Then, in October, director Steven Caple Jr. announced that Michelle Yeoh and Pete Davidson would voice Airazor and Mirage, respectively. So there will be a lot of new costumed robots getting into action for the first time in this summer blockbuster.
Thinking back to Peter Dinklage, who played Tyrion Lannister all along game of Thrones, is the latest of many acting jobs he has landed throughout his career. His other credits in this area include The Ice Age: Continental Driftthe angry Birds movie and The Croods: A New Era. Dinklage has also starred in blockbusters like X-Men: Days of Future Past Yes Avengers: Infinity Warand will play Casca Highbottom next year The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.
Set in 1994, seven years after the events of Bumblebee, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will follow Noah and Elena on a globetrotting adventure with Optimus Prime and the Autobot as they team up with the Maximals against the Predacon and Terrorcon factions. rise of the beasts it should be the first of three new chapters in the Transformers film series, and we will also have an animated prequel to Cybertron due out in July 2024.
