Finally, a French victory at Eurovision! But in the youth category, since it was Lissandro, 13 years old, who got first place in the competition this Sunday. Widely applauded for his performance, the youngster took the lead in the standings with 203 points.
He was singing oh mom! a song co-written with Barbara Pravi, who finished second in Classic Eurovision in 2021 with Clever. A triumph hailed by the Minister of Culture Rima Abdul Malak.
“He is 13 years old. He lives in Théding, in the Moselle. He has a unique voice, crazy talent, the energy of a rocker. And he has just won Junior Eurovision under the colors of France! Congratulations to Lissandro!” applauded the minister.
In Yerevan, the young man boldly gambled his chance to win this prestigious title.
“I told myself, this adventure, you live it once, so you better live it to the fullest. I was confident because I wanted to win it. I really wanted to smash it all! My dream has come true!” Lissandro rejoices.

For music lovers on television, Lissandro’s voice and face are not unknown since the young man had participated in 2020 in La Voz Kids. He had made it to the finals of this show, on Jenifer’s team.
But his love of music has its roots long before this television venture. It was when her parents transmitted this passion to her.
“My father made me discover many styles of music, especially rock and I liked Elvis Presley,” Lissandro said in October on the Eurovision YouTube channel.
If he had chosen music, he would have liked to be a footballer. “Eurovision, I’ve always compared it to the Euro (European football championship, editor’s note). My dream was to play football, but I’m literally broke, zero. So why not try to do that? With my voice, with my passion, with what can I do?”
France continues to perform well in this Junior Eurovision as last year Enzo, who represented France, ranked third. France won Junior Eurovision for the first time in 2020 in Poland, with the youngster’s song “J’imagine” Loved.
