Those who have been following the drama probably know that Scottie Pippen and Michael Jordan aren’t exactly talking to each other at the moment. The two have long been involved in a one-sided dispute, as Pippen called his former Chicago Bulls teammate Many times. The situation was already pretty awkward, but that feeling only intensified when Pippen’s ex-wife Larsa fell in love with Jordan’s son Marcus. The rumors have been circulating for a few months now and Larsa is now dealing with speculation about the nature of her relationship with Marcus.
Larsa Pippen and Marcus Jordan have been seen to Florida in September, during which time the two ate at a restaurant. At the time it was hard to tell if it was the two but they have since been photographed in other outings. Pippen, known for her role in Real Housewives of Miami — spoke about Jordan, among other topics, during an interview with the New York Post (via sister site page 6 ). During the conversation, unique personality for fans she seemingly confirmed her and Jordan’s status as she responded to the public’s thoughts on her love life:
We are friends. We’ve been friends for two years and right now I’m in a place where I’m finally open to dating. Every time they see me with someone, [people] pretend it’s more than it really is, and it’s usually nothing. So yes, now I go out and focus on my business, family and fun. People want to label your relationship when they don’t know what it is. But I really don’t care what other people think.
So, according to the reality star, she and Michael Jordan’s son are just “friends.” Interestingly, the 48-year-old socialite has confirmed that they are now dating, so it’s possible that there is a man in her life. However, one cannot help but get rid of the feeling that sparks may have flown between her and young Jordan. But of course I’ll take him at his word.
Also, one can’t help but consider the irony when it comes to the timing of the two friends’ get-togethers. During this year, Scottie Pippen has landed many jabs at Michael Jordan. The litigation was initiated by ESPN The Last Dance (which can be transmitted from a Netflix subscription ). Pippen accused his former on-court partner of using the docuseries to support himself and claimed Jordan didn’t give others due credit. He also accused His Airness of ruin the basketball game . others have he took note of Pippen’s shadow and named it accordingly.
In the midst of the quarrel, some fans seem to take sides. This has been proved by the fact that a the man named Marcus Jordan when he was seen with Larsa Pippen. At the time, the two were at a soccer game when a fan yelled at Jordan, calling him a “cold son of a bitch.” And yes, the timing was as awkward as it gets.
However, Larsa Pippen’s comments suggest that she and Marcus Jordan will continue dating. I admit to being curious if the two will actually enter a romance at some point. But then again, you can never underestimate the power of a good old fashioned platonic relationship.
