“Thank you for your communicative smile”: Prince Harry pays tribute to Elizabeth II

Following his brother William, Prince Harry pays tribute to his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, in a press release published on Monday.

Following his brother William, Prince Harry in turn pays tribute to his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, in a statement released Monday.

The queen’s grandson talks to her about his “sadness” and his “memories”.

“Grandma, he wrote again, while this final separation plunges us into sadness, I will always be grateful for our first encounters, from my first childhood memories with you, to meeting you for the first time as my commander in chief, but also the first time that you met my wife and hugged my children.

“As we celebrate the life of my grandmother, Her Majesty the Queen, and mourn her loss, we all remember the compass that guided so many through their commitment to service and duty,” the 37-year-old prince also said, adding “to honor” his father Carlos III “in his new role” as king.

“Thank you for your commitment to serve, thank you for your wise advice, thank you for your communicative smile,” Prince Harry concludes.

Harry and his wife Meghan, notoriously at odds with the royal family, and especially William and Charles, since their departure to California and their interview with Oprah Winfrey, appeared for the first time on Saturday alongside William and Kate.

A strong gesture of reconciliation, after that of Charles, during his first speech. In any case, these images have been on the front page of the British press and continue to be a highlight of the tributes to the queen this weekend.
