Spoilers ahead for the winter premiere of the resident Season 6, called “All In”.
the resident returned to Fox in the 2023 season television premiere, but the medical drama is weeks away from the season 6 finale. Facing the biggest development since last year’s fall finale, what did you see Konrad Yes Bowl lock lips after an attack on Chastain. It was a sweet scene with a pretty dreamy line opaque czury a Jessica Lukebut that happened when i was still dating gift and she had something to do with James. “All In” handled this difficult situation in a way that solved my issues with their romance and set the stage for next week’s finale.
As someone who was on the edge of a Billie and Conrad romance when she was still eerily close one of a kind‘s, I wanted to celebrate them 100% by crossing the point of no return and kissing in the fall finale. I couldn’t do that when Conrad was still in a relationship with Cade, Cade confided in Conrad when he assured him that he didn’t have to worry about his friendship with Billie. As for Billie, her relationship with James didn’t seem serious, but she also assured him that she wasn’t expecting Conrad.
Yes the resident I found two ways to deal with the aftermath of the kiss that made me feel so much better about how Conrad and Billie bonded, and about both of them as characters to support.
First, Conrad wasted no time in telling Cade what happened with Billie. When she told him that he had lied about her trip in the late fall and actually visited her father in rehab before he could break the news of the big fuck, he opened up and told her that he hadn’t been honest. with himself or Cade about Billie, and that he kissed her. His only defense for her was that he’d been trying to make things work with Cade, and she didn’t like the idea of him having to work to be with her, but he acknowledged that he’d hurt her and coped with it.
For her part, Billie admitted that she’d been avoiding texts from James all day instead of opening up to him right away, but I gave her some slack. Her relationship with him didn’t seem as serious as Conrad’s and Cade’s, and she was still recovering from being attacked and nearly killed the night before. Conrad confessing to Cade and breaking things off as soon as possible was good enough for me, and Billie was at least ignoring James instead of actively lying to him.
The second part of “All In” that convinced me was that Conrad and Billie pointed out that they didn’t want to start a relationship by kissing when they were both technically dating other people. They knew it was the wrong way to do it, they realized they had to do it right to move forward. Billie even gave Cade a chance to say what she needed to say. Billie stated that although she had feelings for Conrad for a while, she wasn’t about to intervene while Cade was still in the picture.
It didn’t hurt that Cade walked away with all of his dignity intact, not apologizing to Conrad for what he did, not blaming Billie, and even saying he loves Billie. She and Conrad never said they loved each other, and she said she deserved to be loved by someone she shouldn’t. to deal why this happens. Also, the episode ended with Cade and James deciding to drown their sorrows together, so maybe something will happen on that front!
And I’m very happy about it the resident resolved the situation with Conrad and Billie’s estranged relationships as soon as possible rather than ending the melodrama. I might have feared the season finale if the show had lied to Conrad and Billie and covered up their kiss; now i can still relate to them and their romance because they themselves admitted they didn’t get off on the right foot.
