Many were shocked when it was reported that Jeremy Renner had been hospitalized on New Year’s Day after what was initially billed as a “traumatic” weather incident. while you talk to Deadline , Co-creator of Mayor of Kingstown Hugh Dillon recalled how he found out about his colleague’s ordeal. Dillon explained that he was first briefed on the situation by a colleague and, surprisingly, later heard from the actor himself:
I heard about it from one of the other manufacturers. I saw him on the news and then he sent me a video. It’s really funny. I just think about this guy’s world and I’m happy that he’s surrounded by his family. Anything we can do to help, we will. He is the greatest. It’s like a family.
At the time of the accident, Jeremy Renner was using his plow, following a heavy snowstorm, to clear the way for a family member to get out of his car. For the mayor of Reno, Nevada Renner got out of his vehicle to talk to the relative, but the plow kept moving and struck the 52-year-old actor. Eventually he was airlifted to hospital and admitted to intensive care, later reported as stable but in critical condition.
Since then, the star has continued to maintain audiences updated on his condition via social media And, as her collaborator suggested, her posts have generally been lighthearted and cheeky. During this latest interview, the actor/producer did not specify whether the situation of the protagonist will affect the production of a third season. Though he did confirm that he and co-creator Taylor Sheridan were already considering their plans:
Taylor and I have different ideas for different seasons. If all goes to plan with Paramount+ and all, I think we’d start August, September, maybe pre-production in the summer.
At this point, it’s unclear how much recovery time Jeremy Renner will need, but Hugh Dillon and co might be thinking. I would be ready to welcome you. Surely they just want to see their precious “family” member healed.
