There are no flowers for Kate on Valentine’s Day. This is the revelation of the Princess of Wales last Tuesday during an official visit to a market in Leeds, a city located in the north of England, in the county of Yorkshire.
As Kate stops at a flower shop, which offers her hyacinths, Kate tosses her, “I imagine William will offer you red roses.” “I don’t think I do that”; she also responded.
While Kate won’t be getting roses this year, William has given her some on a regular basis. She recently revealed that he gave it to her on their first Valentine’s Day as husband and wife when he was sent on a mission with the Royal Air Force.
An awareness campaign
Kate took advantage of her visit to Leeds to talk about her new awareness campaign, Shaping Us, which aims to raise awareness about “the importance of the first five years of a child’s life”, according to British media.
Kate Middleton has ties to the city of Leeds: her father, Michael Middleton, was born there. And part of her ancestry is from the county of Yorkshire.
