Warning: BIG SPOILERS for Episode 13 of Law and order: organized crimecalled “Drunk Punch”.
Law and order: organized crime he quickly displayed that plea against the man he had killed BellPartner goes way beyond stalking a villain. As the plot thickens Eamon Murphy, jets began an undercover affair that led to breakthroughs in the investigation…and Bell had his doubts as to whether or not the young detective could be objective. The cliffhanger means Jet’s life is in serious danger, but there was one good thing that came out of this stressful episode: one of my long-standing issues with more stable was approached.
What happened to Jet?
Jet went to work undercover Seamus O’Meara while believing they could be a match, and Seamus fell in love very quickly. She’s shown to have a knack for forming UC bonds and getting close to really bad people, but her actions also made Bell fear that she might fall for Seamus.
Even though Jet didn’t have a good explanation for why she was still wearing the necklace he gave her and had an uphill battle over why she kissed him, she gave a performance for Bell that was pretty convincing. The sergeant – who reached its breaking point in the first half of the season, he finally told Jet that he lost his partner all those years ago.
In the end, Jet still kept his cover intact… until he had to flee the bar with Seamus, who was convinced Eamon was going to kill them both after he failed to kill a man to pay off a debt. . While trying to push her into the car, Seamus accidentally dropped her wig, which was enough to make her wonder who she really was about her.
Rather than just toy with the fact that she wore a wig because she wanted long hair or something equally innocent, Jet decided to pull her gun and reveal her identity. However, she had no backup and didn’t go beyond calling Bell before something distracted her. Seizing the moment, Seamus attacked Jet and shoved her into the trunk of her car.
The situation is pretty dire for Jet, whose best chance may be that his appeal to Bell went through. It’s unclear if Bell actually heard anything helpful, but Seamus hung up on. The team can at least know where she was when she was taken, and Jet has resources when the odds are stacked against him. However, if Seamus has turned completely against her, he may have to wait for a ransom rather than relying on his own evasion skills.
Fundamentally though, it wasn’t a great episode for Jet. Actress Ainsley Seager he crushed the performance from start to finish and set up what could be an exciting next episode. Jet also happens to drop a joke that addressed my big Stabler problem.
How a more stable problem was finally fixed
Bell removed Jet from the case after surveillance took photos of her kissing Seamus in his apartment, despite insisting she could keep a clear head and hadn’t slept with him. More importantly (to me, anyway), she also pointed out that Stabler had done far worse than anything he’d done undercover with Seamus, which… yes, she definitely did! The show started with his personal vendetta against Richard Wheatleyand even benson From SVU He noticed that he tended to get lost in hiding. Also, unlike Jet, he he actually slept with someone while undercover !
While it’s safe to say that everything Stabler did undercover was 100% necessary and for the good of the case, I’d argue that Jet deserves the same benefit of the doubt, even if he has less experience. His denunciation of double standards about Stabler going undercover thief also came at the perfect time for me, as I was getting frustrated with Christopher MeloniThe character, even if Meloni himself was great.
Since his return to New York and the launch of Organized crime as a SVU spin-off, Stabler was pretty good at all of his work. This was not his case SVU days. Even though I know people can change a lot in ten years, the fact that I can do almost anything has started to irritate me. In this episode, Stabler was able to overpower Murphy’s huge dog and get close enough to handle the dog’s food without losing any of his fingers.
I don’t know where this knack for dog whisperers comes from, unless it’s for Boss to make him look as cool as possible, but the fact that he’s good at something else out of nowhere got me to the point that I would clap Jet’s hands on my TV screen if I could after she yelled that he was leaving with whatever he was doing.
Stabler will obviously be very talented as the lead of the show, but it was refreshing to see him call, even if it doesn’t change anything. It’s easier for me to stay a fan of the character since I go back to hers SVU days, if their questionable behavior is recognized for what it is. Plus, it makes it easier for me to have fun it’s dynamic (as it is) with Olivia Benson !
