After the failure of his latest films in theaters and on Netflix, Michael Bay will direct his first series. According to the specialized magazine DeadlineDirector ofArmageddon, bad boys AND transformersHe is currently preparing a series for Prime Video.
This series created and written by Joe Barton (The Lazarus Project on Netflix) tells the adventures of a bounty hunter. Michael Bay will direct and produce this untitled show.
“An American bounty hunter working in Mexico desperately fights for survival when the man he’s hunting gets them in trouble with the Mexican cartel,” reads the official synopsis.

“Five years ago, I met a former US federal agent in Costa Rica. He surfs every day. He loves his life, he inspired me,” Michael Bay said in a statement. “He funds this very congenial way of life by tracking down the ‘bad gringos’ lurking in Latin America.”
This is the first series directed by Michael Bay, who has already produced several, including black sails (2014-2017). Once king of the box office, the director enjoyed mixed success last year with Ambulance (2022). Billed as the first installment of a franchise for Netflix, six underground (2019) did not appeal either.
