HGTV Home Renovator Christina Hall has had the opportunity to impact people’s lives through her work. While the goal of her projects is always to make her clients’ homes more aesthetic and functional, some renovations mean something extra. stay and her husband Joseph had the opportunity to help Jessica Waldron, a friend who had been diagnosed with ALS, renovate her home to be accessible to her mobility impaired while still being a wonderful space for her family. However, Hall’s friend sadly passed away before the project was completed.
Jessica Waldron’s makeover was filmed for an episode of Christine on the field on HGTV entitled “For the love of the family”. Christina Hall shared her friend’s story instagram , in which she recounted how she met Waldron and how, despite ALS taking over her body so quickly, her friend never gave up hope for a miracle. However, before the episode aired on Feb. 9, Hall provided a heartbreaking update to his subscribers:
Sadly, on November 3, 2022, at the age of 39, Jessica passed away of complications from ALS and was never able to renovate her home. She was a great loss to all who had the chance to cross her path.
Christina Hall said in the post that Jessica Waldron’s diagnosis came in 2020 and two years later she had lost the use of her legs. The TV personality said seeing how quickly the disease progressed was the “most terrifying thing” she had ever seen. I can’t imagine how disappointed Hall must have been that Waldron couldn’t see her house in her finished state. however, the ancient flip or flop Star she said she was always proud to have fulfilled her friend’s wishes for a nice home for her family. She continued:
This renovation was his vision for his family and something the entire team and I are proud to have done for them. Her memory will live on and her children will be able to look back and see that Mom was a fighter and despite what she was going through, she always put on a good face. We hope to raise awareness of this devastating disease.
Christina Hall referred her followers to former NFL player Steve Gleason’s nonprofit Team Gleason for more information on ALS.
Christine on the field watch the interior designer expand her business in Tennessee, where she shares a second home with her husband and three children. The decision to put down roots in the South came after Christina Hall I didn’t want to film anymore flip or flop with her ex-husband Tarek El Moussa and in the middle of a custody battle with her second ex-husband, Ant Anstead.
