Readers of Taylor Jenkins Reid’s best-selling novel daisy jones and the six they were happy to see a fictional 70s rock band comes to life on the Amazon Prime Video series, and Riley Keough and Sam Claflin helped bring in even more fans, thanks to their small-screen chemistry. They series other than the book in some ways, but basically remained true to the source material, provide viewers with a satisfying ending . So, with the show done with a nice little arc and the source material sold out, we probably shouldn’t be expecting a second season, right? Not so fast, according to the showrunner.
daisy jones and the six spoke showrunner Scott Neustadter Expiration ‘s Contenders Television panel, where he said the series (available with a Amazon Prime video subscription ) provided the perfect ending tying all the stories together while continuing to inspire new questions. In fact, Neustadter said he’s had a lot of ideas for a second season. He said:
The good thing is that the show has a hopefully satisfying ending. We’ve answered all the questions we’ve asked, but I think on the way out we’ve asked new questions. It’s still my favorite ending. There is an opportunity to continue telling the story; obviously, we would like to speak to Taylor.
The showrunner apparently hasn’t run out of ideas when it comes to the character of Riley Keough and the five members of the six but Scott Neustadter admitted that Taylor Jenkins Reid would still have a say if they wanted to further enrich the history of the band.
The history of the series spans decades, with band members giving current interviews about the rise and fall of their band in the 1970s. Much of the story revolves around Daisy Jones and Billy Dunne, who appear to be two halves of the same person, and their music is filled with anguish among the musicians, who are in love but cannot be together because Billy is engaged to his wife Camila. In the finale, we learn that Camila has since died and in her daughter Julia’s interviews before her death, she gave her Billy and Daisy her blessing, telling them they owe her a song.
It’s the perfect ending the showrunner was talking about, with viewers seeing that maybe it was finally time for the singers to reunite, or at least create more music, but what happened next? Outside of anything that followed up on the Julia documentary, we only know roughly what happened to the band members between Daisy Jones & The Six’s last concert in Chicago and their current conversations with Billy and Camila’s daughter. Maybe a daisy jones and the six Would season 2 delve deeper into the following decades?
Another aspect to consider to continue the story of The Six would be the music. more than two dozen original songs were created for daisy jones and the six with Riley Keough and the rest of the daisy jones and the six to discard perform the songs of the band. As we know, the group disbanded upon release Sunrise, we theoretically listened to all of his music. Would the second season eliminate this aspect? Would we listen to the music band members created with other bands after they broke up?
Fans probably didn’t expect a second season of film adaptation of the book But that doesn’t mean we have no hope. For now you can live again daisy jones and the sixis on Amazon Prime Video and be sure to see what other new releases are coming soon with ours TV show 2023 .
