It’s been a while since fans got an official update on Chris Hemsworth. Extraction 2. Last year, a video made confirm the fate of Tyler Rake from Hemsworth , although not much has materialized since then. However, those hungry for more production news got a surprise this weekend. The film released a first behind-the-scenes look showing some adorable footage. Not only that, but it has also been revealed that the highly anticipated sequel is looking to surpass its predecessor at least in a big way.
The reportage behind the scenes Extraction 2 was introduced by Chris Hemsworth during Netflix’s annual Tudum presentation. In the footage, Hemsworth and director Sam Hargrave give viewers a taste of what they’ve been working on. While there are many interesting sights, including a helicopter landing on a moving train, Hargrave has spotted a key detail that I still can’t understand. Apparently, he and his collaborators have created something even more impressive than the “one” in the OG movie. The director said:
In Extraction 1, we had a great action sequence that felt like a continuous shot. We call it. For Extraction 2, we will go even further with a more complex and extreme sequence than before.
The first film is takes place when Tyler Rake and Ovi, the kidnapped son of a powerful drug lord, are on the hunt while Rake tries to “extract” the teenager. In the process, the two become involved in a wild chain of events, including two car chases, car shootouts, and more. The result is an explosive and continuous streak that lasts nearly 12 minutes. Although Sam Hargrave hasn’t shared much on the sequel footage, the images from BTS anticipate what’s to come. In the clip above, you can see the crew turning the camera back on for what is sure to be a huge scene.
The framing of the first film was nothing short of amazing, so the mere thought of the cast and crew trying to get past it is almost unfathomable. But again, seasoned stuntman and stunt coordinator Sam Hargrave has a knack for creating awesome action sequences. So if anyone can improve things from a technical standpoint while still ensuring the series fits in consistently with the narrative, that’s him.
Extraction 2 shooting wrapped last spring after months of filming in places like Prague and Austria. During production, Chris Hemsworth shared behind-the-scenes glimpses of the new film, including some set videos that drove the sequel crazy . The returning screenwriter of the franchise, Joe Russo confirmed that the sequel will be different from the first movie. As he puts it, the action movie will have a “different color scheme” in part because it’s set in a different part of the world. This was evident when Hemsworth posted a photo he showed it in a snowy setting rather than in a warmer place.
Fans may have to wait a little longer before an official trailer is released, although this new video should see them pass by for a while. I’m curious to know more about what Chris Hemsworth, Sam Hargrave and company do. they rolled up their sleeves. Obviously, they are approaching this project with a “go big or come home” mentality, and this is sure to be exciting for those who are already in love with this franchise.
No release date has been announced for Extraction 2although it has been confirmed that it will be part of the lineup of 2023 new release of the film . Make sure you take a netflix subscription so you can check it when it arrives.
