Post Malone showed just how much his fans and music mean to him at his September 17 concert in St. Louis, Missouri. Concert participants published twisted video of the singer of “Circles”. falling through a hole in the ground and writhing in pain as doctors rushed to his aid. Despite apparently breaking several ribs in the fall, the singer returned to the stage after taking a few minutes to recover and complete his show. Now, however, it looks like those injuries have hit him, because a week after that terrifying fall, Malone was hospitalized after struggling to breathe.
The singer of “Better Now” released in instagram stories on September 24, almost an hour before the start of his concert in Boston, Massachusetts, revealing to fans that he had to cancel the show because he was in the hospital. His message said:
Boston, I love you so much. On tour, I usually wake up around 4pm and today I woke up with a crack on the right side of my body. I felt so good last night, but today I felt so different from before. I have difficulty breathing and feel excruciating pain every time I breathe or move. We’re in the hospital now, but with this pain I can’t do the show tonight. I am very sorry. Everyone’s tickets for tonight’s show will be valid for the postponement we are currently scheduling. Again, I’m so sorry, I love you so much. I feel bad, but I promise you that I will forgive myself. I love you Boston, see you soon. I’m sorry. – Love, Austin
It is quite surprising to me that Post Malone (real name Austin Post) was able to continue performing after that incident in St. Louis. Seeing him scream in pain in this video was terrifying, and the fact that he not only finished the show that night, but continued his twelve-karat tour the next night in Columbus, Ohio, is unbelievable.
While fans were undoubtedly disappointed with Saturday’s concert cancellation, it’s pretty obvious that the singer was heartbroken too, with his short message to fans containing three apologies and three “I love you”. Apparently they are already working to reschedule the event.
In addition to Columbus, Ohio, the anger of man actor he also performed two shows in Ontario, Canada, on September 20 and 21, before completing the first of what would be two nights in Boston.
