Dozens of Don’t Worry Darling Cast Share Statement After Florence Pugh and Olivia Wilde’s “Screaming Match” Reveal On Set

Olivia Wilde’s latest cinematic adventure, don’t worry honey, was finally released after much expectation. But as the psychological thriller hits theaters, a slew of rumors and controversies continue to swirl around it. The past few weeks have been filled with news about an alleged cast layoff and alleged disagreements on the set. On the latter point, an anonymous source recently stated that Wilde engaged in a “screaming fight” with its lead actress, Florence Pugh. With that, dozens of crew members shared a statement addressing the alleged confrontation.

According to the initial report, the reported howling match was the culmination of Florence Pugh’s apparent frustration with Olivia Wilde’s on-set conduct. The anonymous person claimed that Pugh disagreed with Wilde’s frequent disappearance from the set with her boyfriend Harry Styles, who is co-director of the film. Pugh is also rumored to be unhappy when Wilde and Styles attended a wedding, after the former apparently talked about the importance of following COVID protocols at some point earlier.

All this, however, was questioned by around 40 crew members through a statement sent to Eastern time (through people ). While many signed the post, it was producer Miri Yoon who wrote the address. Yoon vehemently denounced the “nonsense gossip” circulating by sharing positive thoughts about how the director handled the set:

As a team, we avoided addressing the nonsensical gossip surrounding the film that we are so proud of, but felt the need to correct the anonymous “sources” cited in a recent article. Any allegations of unprofessional behavior on the Don’t Worry Darling set are completely false. Olivia is an incredible leader and director, present and involved in every aspect of the production. She led this set with class and respect for all involved. There has never been a terrific match between our director and anyone, let alone a member of our cast.

It wouldn’t be the first time that a don’t worry honey crew member responded to the rumors. director of photography Matthew Libatique addressed the claims of the drama , saying the set was the most “harmonious” he had ever worked on. Libatique says that she “never saw anything” and “heard nothing” and that if something happened, “it happened much later”. [he] I left and started doing other things. She expressed her pride in the film, as did Miri Yoon and the crew members later in her own statement:

We are happy to give them our names, as real people who worked on the film and witnessed and benefited from the collaborative and confident space that Olivia creates as a director and leader. We are also thrilled that the film is in theaters this weekend. We can’t wait for you to see it on the big screen.

The drama surrounding the film began in earnest last month when Shia LaBeouf, who was originally supposed to play Harry Styles, refuted Olivia Wilde’s claim that he was fired production (he also provided text messages and emails to support his claim.) During this time, a A video was released showing Wilde trying to get LaBeouf to join the film and saying it would be a “wake-up call” for “Miss Flo” who would have problems with LaBeouf. From then on, rumors spread it Wilde and Florence Pugh were arguing and only escalated when the actress limited her availability to the press.

Olivia Wilde has since denied it that she and Florence Pugh have a kind of animosity towards each other. Pugh did not address the situation directly, although she shared a heartfelt message and behind-the-scenes photos to celebrate the premiere of the film this weekend.

We will probably never know exactly what happened on set, to be honest. But one thing we will eventually find out is whether this drama will negatively impact the film’s success. Whatever the performance of him, however, it is clear that the don’t worry honey the team will stand still on your movie.
