Pension reform: Elisabeth Borne will receive the leaders of the parliamentary groups

While the opposition asks the Government not to use article 49.3 to force the pension reform, the President of the Government will receive the leaders of the parliamentary groups.

Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne will receive the leaders of the parliamentary groups on pension reform on Thursday and Friday, BFMTV learned on Monday. Ministers Olivier Dussopt and Franck Riester will participate in these meetings in particular.

Much criticized by the opposition, the pension reform desired by the government notably provides for the extension of the retirement age to 65 years.

Given the outcry raised despite the fact that the reform has not yet been debated, some members of the Government had used the threat of article 49.3 that allows a text to be approved without a vote.

Later, many political opponents shouted at the government asking it to enter into a real dialogue with them, instead of approving the text without debate.
