The creation of a digital database of public real estate next year was introduced in the 2024 state budget (OE2024), with the approval of part of a proposal to amend the Livre.
Livre was given the ‘green light’ as part of a proposal on the digital database of public real estate assets, in the votes in the specialty section OE2024, in the Budget and Finance Committee.
“By 2024, the government will establish a digital database of public real estate assets”refers to one of the approved points.
At the same time, it was determined that this database is not only digital, but also digital “georeferenced and interoperable with the Institute of Registries and Notaries (IRN) to be permanently and automatically updated with the ownership data of state properties”.
However, due to the PS’s negative vote, the part of the proposal that provided that the expenditure necessary to create the database would be financed from the state budget allocation for Estamo failed.
Another Livre proposal was also approved, which commits the government to taking the “necessary steps” to “update the Real Estate Asset Management Program and the Public Real Estate Inventory Program” by 2024.
