Heavy vehicles blocked by snow: Pannier-Runacher claims “instructions were not followed”

“When we give security instructions it is not to bother people, it is to protect them,” declared the Minister of Ecological Transition this Friday, November 22 on BFMTV-RMC.

Agnès Pannier-Runacher launches on RMC-BFMTV this Friday, November 22, “a call for responsibility” in the face of winter storm Caetano. The Minister of Ecological Transition is surprised by the fact that heavy vehicles were circulating on the roads the day before despite the traffic bans.

“The instructions were not followed,” he points out, recalling that these instructions were not decreed “to bother the people (but) to protect them.”

Traffic restrictions affected heavy vehicles weighing 7.5 tons on Thursday, with a speed reduction of 20 km/h and a ban on overtaking in some places. Sections of departmental roads and even highways have been closed.
