For his part, Marine Le Pen’s lawyer pleaded this Wednesday for his client’s release. He considered that the prosecutor’s requisitions were “a weapon of mass destruction of the democratic game.” “It’s not just about Marine Le Pen, but about at least 13 million voters or even the entire electorate, or even the sincerity of the vote, it’s nothing,” insisted Rodolphe Bosselut.

A risk of “reiteration”
