STRAIGHT. Michel Barnier censored? The RN still has demands and presents an ultimatum to the government

Marine Le Pen claims that Michel Barnier has “until Monday” to respond to RN’s budgetary “red lines.” If the Prime Minister does not give in to the demands of the extreme right, she will vote on the motion of censure presented by the New Popular Front in case of 49.3

“Marine Le Pen asks, Michel Barnier executes”: Marine Tondelier criticizes the Prime Minister’s announcement at the AME

“Marine Le Pen asks, Michel Barnier executes,” he writes.

In the National Assembly, the left fails to repeal the pension reform

With a majority in the chamber, the left and RN failed to approve this Thursday a law that proposed repealing the pension reform due to obstruction from the presidential field. La France insoumise had placed at the top of the texts a bill aimed at repealing the 2023 reform that raised the legal retirement age from 62 to 64 years.

But the text could not be voted on, due to hundreds of amendments presented by the government coalition to slow down the work that necessarily had to finish at midnight, and to heated debates marked by multiple points of order and suspensions of sessions.

Le Pen puts pressure on Barnier

Hello everyone and good morning. Concession on electricity, gesture on immigration: Michel Barnier tries to convince the National Rally to abandon censorship without acceding to all the “red lines” claimed by the extreme right.

A few days before the crucial deadline for budget texts in the National Assembly, the Prime Minister declared that he was giving up on increasing taxes on electricity beyond their level before the tariff shield against inflation. He also agrees, at least in part, to the RN’s request to reduce AME for undocumented immigrants.

Marine Le Pen stated for her part that Michel Barnier has “until Monday” to respond to RN’s “red lines” on the budget.
