A guest of BFMTV-RMC this Wednesday, Marine Le Pen spoke about the missile that fell in Poland on Tuesday. According to US intelligence, it could be of Ukrainian origin and target Russian missiles. “This should serve as a lesson, in this area you always have to be calm,” said the leader of the deputies of the National Group in the Assembly.
Marine Le Pen calls for “doing everything possible to find a peaceful solution”. According to her, this “would first of all imply the withdrawal of Russian troops from Ukraine.” In this sense, she wishes that “a great conference for peace in France” be organized.
“I think it is the historic role of France to be at the origin of this great conference for peace that could bring together all those interested in this conflict,” explained the deputy from Pas-de Calais.
“Extremely scared”
As expected, Marine Le Pen did not adhere to the words of Volodymyr Zelensky. The Ukrainian president saw in the fall of the missile in Poland a “message” from Russia to the G20. Response from the three-time presidential candidate:
“We cannot ask Mr. Zelensky to be objective. It is not based on his statements that we must trust but on our own information ”.
She said she was “concerned” by “the prospect of a world war”. And to continue: “[Cela] it scares me very much. War is not virtual, it kills women, men and children. The less it lasts, the better off we are.”
For Marine Le Pen, if the use of defensive weapons “is perfectly possible”, it is necessary to avoid sending “heavy weapons”. For her, this is equivalent to “falling into co-belligerence, that is, in a position in which we are taken […] with the risk of escalation and world war”.
