Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau, “is completely independent” of the judicial case behind the new crisis between Algeria and France, and “therefore, there is no case of Retailleau,” said French government spokeswoman Sophie Primas, this Wednesday, April 16.
Algiers accused the minister of bringing “complete” responsibility for sudden relapse in bilateral relations. Sophie Primas said before the press after the Council of Ministers that it was rather an “escalation” that “is very unfortunate because we had gone to a slightly more peaceful and a bit more constructive relationship.”
