Bruno Retailleau offered an overwhelming victory against Laurent Wauquiez during the election of the president of the Les Républicins party. With only 25.69% of the votes, the rare were the departmental federations to support the leader of the deputies of LR. However, the former president of Auverne-Rhône-Alpes has preserved the support of his region.
This was established in the Haute-Loire, of which he was a deputy for the first constituency with 96.2% of the votes. It also arrived largely at the head in Cantant (89.9%) and Allier (71.2%), Drôme (72.5%), Ardèche (70.3%), Puy-de-Dôme (69.7%), Loire (67.9%) and Lozère (66%).
Laurent Wauquiez also wins in Hautes-Alpes (55.9%), Ain (58.5%) and Isère (53.8%).

But all the departments of the region did not necessarily succeed in Laurent Wauquiez. Therefore, for the departments of Savoy, Haute-Savoie and the Rhône, it is its opponent who first comes in front of Bruno Retilleau.
If the latter largely won the elections nationwide, it also benefited from a very large support in its region of Pays-de-La-Loire. In particular, it obtained 97.4% of the votes in Vendée, 93.2% in Loire-Atlantique and 89.4% in Sartre.
The challenge of the post -election is to preserve the unity of the party for Republicans. Laurent Wauquiez took a first step in this regard. According to BFMTV information, he invited Bruno Retillea to meet with LR agents on Tuesday morning.
