During an interview with TF1, the prime minister invited all the chiefs of political training for consultations in Matignon before the vote of trust held on September 8 at the National Assembly.
The elected officials and the leaders of the opposition parties expressed, for the most part, their opposition to this vote, however, some announced their desire to go to the appointment proposed by François Bayrou.
The PS in Matignon “to say that we vote against”
Among the parties classified to the left, the Socialist Party, which leaders indicated that they will vote against trust, announced that it has accepted the invitation. The head of the Socialists, Olivier Faure, also promised that the “concrete” proposals will be presented on Saturday to make “the demonstration that it is possible to delight the country.”
They want to “repeat” François Bayrou that offer “another path and another method.” It is about detailing “the most credible copy”, with “recipes, real savings and a recovery plan for the industry”, outlined Deputy Philippe Brun.
“Yes, we are going to Matignon to say that we vote against, but we are going there anyway,” said Stéphane Toussel, president of the department of Sena-Saint-Denis and PS spokesman in BFMTV. “The delegation will reaffirm our vote against trust on September 8. It will not be a negotiation,” says the Yvelines member and PS Diop spokesman in BFMTV.
“How good is”: environmentalists reject the invitation
Like France Insoumise, the environmentalists, on the other hand, refused to go to these last chance consultations.
“I never refused to chat with a prime minister in office, but since François Bayrou will no longer be on September 8 … What is the use of?” Advanced Marino Tondelier in the set of four truths on France 2.
“In terms of energy efficiency, our hours on Monday will be better used to refine our Ecologist Crisis Exit Plan, which will be made public next week,” he added.
“Every hour, every day that separates us from the departure of François Bayrou, for me, it must be used to prepare his suite,” he continued, in the microphone of France 2.
The rebel against “the rescue operation”
For Manuel Bompard, “Bayrou tries to save his head by calling political parties next week.” The deputy indicated that his training “in no way intends to participate in the rescue operation that the prime minister is now trying to start.”
The rebels have also reaffirmed their support mobilizations, including those of September 10 and 18 “to send to Macron and open the perspective of an alternative policy capable of straightening the country.”
The RN “always responds positively”
Unlike the rebels, the national demonstration, whose claimed leaders voted against confidence in the government, accepted the invitation of François Bayrou. Jordan Bardella and Marine Le Pen will be received on Tuesday morning, the day after the Socialists. In BFMTV, Laurent Jacobelli had indicated that “an appointment with the Republic is never lost.”
“The RN always responds positively to an invitation to dialogue, even vain and extremely late. Therefore, we will go to Matignon with Marine Le Pen next week, without any illusion,” said the president of the distant part. A “vain” discussion because the party believes that it is too late “to negotiate on the vote of trust, supported Sébastien Chenu, in TF1.
Liot accepts despite a “clear majority” of opposition
The Libertés Group, independent, abroad and territories (Liot) also responded positively to the invitation of the Prime Minister, learned BFMTV to the group. “The group has never rejected a meeting since its creation,” he said, adding that the meeting would be “no doubt” this Tuesday.
A “clear majority” of its deputies will not vote confidence, the group announced in a statement published on August 26, denouncing a budget “unbalanced in the requested efforts of the French.”
Retailleau and Wauquiez in Duet in Matignon
The president of the Republicans, Bruno Retilleau, and his counterpart in the National Assembly, Laurent Wauquiez, will also be received on Tuesday, starting at 3 pm in Matignon.
Despite the dismay of several elected officials of the party, the Republicans announced that they wanted to vote for the Government on September 8.
The PCF wants a debate despite its opposition
The party announced in a press release that will go to Matignon, for a meeting with the Prime Minister, despite his opposition to the budget project. “We have always been a political force that favors dialogue,” the party said.
Its elected officials want to take the opportunity to “explain to the prime minister, frankly, the reasons that [les] Press not vote on September 8 “and” present it [leur] Pact for the future of France. “
