“You have to get out of the dead end. You have to move forward.” Guest at BFMTV-RMC this Friday, October 3, the National Secretary of the French Communist Party, Fabien Roussel, believes that it would be “steep” immediately censor a government that renounces 49.3, in response to the statements of the Prime Minister.
A few minutes earlier, Sébastien Lecornu announced from Matignon that he “resigned” to use article 49.3 of the Constitution to govern, particularly so that the budget without vote adopted, which was the case of all budgets from the Emmanuel Macron team in 2022.
Calling “all to make a gesture” to “advance in the country”, Sébastien Lecornu announced that he had “decided to give up the use of 49.3 to govern” so that “each deputy can have power.”
“When the prime minister says ‘not 49.3’, it is a message that sends the opposition groups. To return there is no censorship and that everyone accepts the debate,” says Fabien Roussel.
“Without scam”
But the chosen communist official is still cautious. “I will ask in what conditions we implement it. Do you guarantee that it will really allow the debate? There is no scam behind,” he warns.
“Each group, each political party will be taken to decide,” he adds, believing that “rigid” a censorship of the Lecornu government. “We are in an institutional, economic, social, but also institutional and serious democratic crisis. We have to leave the dead end. We have to move forward,” insists the elected official.
And to summarize: “I am more in the culture of dialogue and let Parliament do its job.”
