Uniform at school: Pap Ndiaye “opposes a law that would impose an outfit for all students”

If this issue will be the subject of a bill of the RN in January and that generated debates in the majority, “it would be very naive to think that a uniform would come to settle the questions of secularism”, according to the Minister of Justice. National Education.

Should the uniform be enforced at school? No, according to Pap Ndiaye. Questioned by France Info on Friday, the Minister of National Education said he was “against a law that would address or impose dress code for all students.”

At France Info, Pap Ndiaye recorded 353 reports in November, a “decrease compared to October (720 reports)”. Among these attacks, “for 40%, they are clothing, attire, religious signs or with religious intent,” the minister said.

Some elected representatives of the majority have addressed the issue. le figaro thus he revealed on November 18 that certain renaissance deputies were going to present to his group a bill to establish a “common school uniform”. It was then a question of favoring “equality” and therefore of fighting against “school bullying”.

At the moment, Renaissance is working on the issue, but has not submitted a bill, we found out in Marianne.
