“It horrified me”: Dussopt reacts to photo of LFI deputy with his foot on a ball bearing his likeness

The photo published by a rebel deputy provoked a wave of hostility on Thursday in the ranks of the majority. In this, we see the chosen one with one foot resting on a soccer ball with the effigy of Olivier Dussopt, Minister of Labour.

The Labor Minister, Olivier Dussopt, expressed his “dismay” after the controversy created by the photo of an LFI deputy stepping on a soccer ball with his image. The snapshot, shared this Thursday on his Twitter account, aroused a wave of indignation in the ranks of the majority.

“It especially horrified me. Violence has no place in politics,” Olivier Dussopt reacted into the BFMTV microphone on Thursday night. “I saw this picture, it reminds of a lot of things, it is especially terrible for the author.”

A little earlier, the rebel deputy Thomas Portes published on Thursday a photo of himself with one foot resting on a soccer ball with the image of Olivier Dussopt, Minister of Labor. With the caption: “Minister withdraw her #ReformeDesRetraites”.

A tweet that sparked a lively controversy within the presidential majority. Many prominent figures have widely criticized the publication. This is particularly the case for the Speaker of the National Assembly Yaël Braun-Pivet. “The tricolor scarf is not a theater costume. Your staging dishonors her,” she wrote on social media.
