Zemmour admits not having put the same “passion” in the economy as in the “great replacement”

The far-right former presidential candidate lamented the “economic impoverishment” of France. An issue he admits to raising less than immigration during his campaign.

Almost a year after obtaining 7.07% of the votes in the presidential elections, the president of Reconquista admitted on BFMTV on Thursday that during his campaign he had chosen to talk more about immigration than the economy.

“I did not put the same passion in my economic speeches as in my speech about the great replacement (…). I would not have committed myself to being a manager,” said Éric Zemmour on the occasion of the launch of his latest book. .

At the time, the far-right candidate “voluntarily supported a responsible and reasonable discourse of the classic right on the economy”, such as the postponement of the legal retirement age to 65 years.

France “is becoming a third world”

If he had made the “great replacement” a “priority” for the presidential elections, but also for the legislative ones -where his party only obtained 4.2% of the votes and no deputies-, Éric Zemmour now insists on “the economic impoverishment that It’s due to the fact that we haven’t produced for 30 years.”

“During the campaign, he kept saying that the country is becoming a Third World: the population is becoming more African and France is producing less and less,” lamented the Reconquête leader.
